Falconry is an all-natural field sport that emphasizes the chase more than the kill. The continued availability of raptors, and the legal right to use them to pursue wild game, depends upon all falconers embracing a high standard of ethical and legal behavior. Equally important are the conservation and health of wild populations of raptors. The preservation of falconry depends upon the active participation of all falconers and friends-of-falconry. Not just in hunting but in habitat protection and restoration, and wild game management as well. Attention also must be paid to raptor diet and conditioning, training and hunting, captive breeding and wild capture, medical care and treatment, equipment, food sources, and facilities.

By joining with others to preserve and improve falconry in all of these areas, we hope to contribute to the survival of all birds of prey, and of the sport and art of Falconry.
